This booklet outlines some of the ways the FSA can support you in ensuring legal compliance with imported food controls in your area. The responsibility for enforcing controls on imported food is shared between local and port health authorities and the Agency, and we work in partnership with the Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS), the Association of Port Health Authorities (APHA), the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and the Trading Standards Institute (TSI).
