Introduction
This database can serve as a tool to inform about the flavouring substances approved for use in food in the EU and their conditions of use. It also contains those flavouring substances which may currently remain on the market until the risk assessment and authorisation procedures have been concluded. The information in the database is based on the Union list of flavourings and source materials as laid down in Part I of Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008.
