This report summarizes information available in the Food and Drugs Act and Regulations,the CFIA 2003 Guide to Food Labelling and Advertising and the Health Canada Interim Guidance Document on Preparing A Submission For Foods with Health Claims: Incorporating Standards of Evidence for Product Specific Health Claims. It is intended to facilitate dialogue; it is not intended to be used for preparing a submission for a health claim. Interested parties should refer to the original reference documents when preparing material for product labelling.
