Agriculture employs more than two thirds of Ethiopia’s population and is the backbone of the country's economy. While Ethiopia is one of the world’s most vulnerable countries to drought and other natural calamities, it exhibits strong prospects for economic growth. With a population of more than 84.3 million people, it is the second most populous country in sub-Saharan Africa.
