Introduction
Ministry of Trade Regulation No. 19/M-DAG/PER/3/2014 repeals the eligibility of private importers holding a general import license to import rice. Rice importers must now become Registered Importers or Producer Importers of rice. Under Regulation 19/2014, the government reserves the right to import medium grain rice through the National Logistics Agency.
