On May 28, 2014, the Mexican Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fishery and Food (SAGARPA) published an Official Mexican Regulation Project (PROY-NOM-001-SAG/BIO-2014) in Mexico’s “Diario Oficial” (Federal Register). This Regulation establishes the characteristics and content of label information for genetically engineered seeds and vegetative propagation materials to be released as a crop for agricultural production. Comments are due in Spanish within the next 60 calendar days after publication (May 29, 2014).
