Introduction
FAS Lima estimates Peru’s production of pasta and noodles at roughly 418,000 metric tons (MT) in calendar year (CY) 2013). Calendar year 2013, U.S. pasta exports to Peru reached $215,000, up 43compared to 2012. The fortification of wheat flour with micronutrients is governed by Law 28,314 (August 3, 2004); Supreme Decrees 008-2005-SA (February 3, 2005) and 012-2006-SA (June 23, 2006) provide the implementing regulatory framework.
