Introduction
The European Food Safety Authority’s Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed was engaged in a self-task on the updating of the criteria used in the assessment of resistance of bacteria to antimicrobials of clinical value. EFSA launched an open consultation on the draft Guidance on the assessment of bacterial susceptibility to antimicrobials of human and veterinary importance. This report addresses the remarks and suggestions given by the stakeholders and, where applicable, how these were implemented in the final Guidance.
