Sections I. – VIII. and the appendix of the report were updated. Slovakia applies EU directives and regulations. Having become an EU member in 2004, vast majority of Slovak legislation has been harmonized. The EU Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards report for European Union (EU-27 FAIRS report), prepared by the US Mission to the EU in Brussels, should be reviewed prior this report, since it provides complete framework and overview of food laws currently in force in the EU.
