Re: Food Packed in Hermetically Sealed Container (4th Edition)

It appears that production of Food Packed in Sealed Container which is low acid food and packed in Hermetically Sealed Container which suitable for growth of Clostridium botulinum that its toxin threaten to consumers’ lives such as canned bamboo shoot, in order to protect consumer from such hazard.
By the virtue of provisions of Section 5 and 6(1)(2)(4)(5)(6)(7)(9)and(10) of the Food Act B.E. 2522 (1979), in which contain provisions in relation to the restriction of Rights and Liberties of the Persons, in respect of which Section 29 and in conjunction with Section 35, Section 48 and Section 50 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand so permit by virtue of provisions of law; the Minister of Public Health hereby issues the notification as follows:
Clause 1 Shall be repealed Clause 6 and 7 of the Notification of The Ministry of Public Health (No. 144) B.E. 2535 (2002) Re: Food packed in Sealed Container, date 2nd July B.E.2535 (2002) and replaced by the following phrases:
“Clause 6 Low acid food in according to Clause 3(1) which pH above 4.6 and Water activity above 0.85, not possess only quality or standards prescribed in Clause 4 and 5 but shall have specific quality or standards of the following: not contain any microorganisms that are able to grow during storage under an ambient temperature.
