On May 16, 2013, The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) amended the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labeling) Regulations, 2011. The amendments increase the scope of applicable products that require oligofructose labeling as well as added plant stanol esters and trehalose labeling requirements for other products. The deadline for comments is November 8, 2013.
