China imported a total of NZ$13.35 million of honey in 2010. With exports valued at NZ$4.98 million, NZ was the leading supplier of honey to China in 2010 (37.3 percent of total honey imports) - up to 205.5 percent from 2009 (NZ$1.63 million).
Honey sales are predicted to continue to grow as part of New Zealand's food and beverage / health food sales to China.
