National Industrial Policies Coordination in Customs Union
Report Highlights:
On June 6, 2013, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council published Decision No. 40 dated May 31, 2013, entitled “On the Basic Areas of Coordination of the National Industrial Policies of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Russian Federation”. The document specified several economic sectors for industrial cooperation between the Customs Union member-states, including biotechnology, wood processing and production of wood products, manufacturing of machines and equipment for agriculture and forestry sector. As of the date of publication of this report, FAS/Moscow does not believe this measure has been notified to the World Trade Organization.
