(As cholesterol.)
Determine sterols in unsaponifiable matter as in 941.09F (see 34.1.09). However, to unsaponifiable matter from egg-free products or from any product containing <0.23% unsaponifiable matter (as-is basis), add 10 mg cholesterol before applying cholesterol method and correct result accordingly. (For the added cholesterol use highest quality obtainable [mp ³147°C] and test its purity by carrying 20 mg through determination.)
