Final Action
A. Reagents
(a) Acetate buffer solution.—Dilute 3 mL CH3COOH, 4.1 g anhydrous CH3COONa, and 4.5 mL H2SO4 to 1 L with H2O.
(b) Sodium tungstate solution.—12%. Dilute 12.0 g Na2WO4×2H2O to 100 mL with H2O.
(c) Alkaline ferricyanide solution.—0.1M. 33.0 g pure anhydrous K3Fe(CN)6 and 44.0 g anhydrous Na2CO3/L.
(d) Acetic acid–salts solution.—Dilute 200 mL CH3COOH, 70 g KCl, and 40 g ZnSO4×7H2O to 1 L with H2O.
(e) Soluble starch–potassium iodide solution.—Add 2 g soluble starch to small amount coldH2Oand pour slowly into boilingH2Owith constant stirring. Cool thoroughly (or resulting mixture will be dark colored), add 50 g KI, and dilute to 100 mL with H2O. Add 1 drop NaOH solution (1 + 1). Use 1 mL.
