(Purpose)
Article 1 The purpose of this standard is to define the criteria of production methods for organic feeds.
(Principles of Production of Organic Feeds)
Article 2 Organic feeds shall be produced to ensure that characteristics of organic agricultural products prescribed in Article 3 of Japanese Agricultural Standard for organic agricultural products (Notification No. 1605 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of October 27, 2005) (hereafter referred to as organic agricultural products), organic processed foods prescribed in Article 3 of the JAS for organic processed foods (Notification No. 1606 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of October 27, 2005) (hereafter referred to as organic processed products), organic livestock products prescribed in Article 3 of the JAS for organic livestock products (Notification No. 1608 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of October 27, 2005) (hereafter referred to as organic livestock products) are preserved in manufacturing and processing processes, and physical and biological functions are applied as processing methods without the use of feed additives and substances synthesized chemically.
